About Ellie Hall Samford Academy

At Ellie Hall Samford Academy, we spark curiosity, foster humanity, and educate reality through a dynamic, balanced, and interdisciplinary approach. We incorporate the unique values of mindfulness, spontaneity, and courage as pillars of our educational program, in order to produce not only capable learners, but active and enthusiastic agents of change for our future world.

EHSA is a 1-12 coeducational institution located in Seoul, South Korea. Through its authentic, seminar-style classes modeled after elite American programs, EHSA cultivates compassionate global citizens and self-directed learners ready to take on the most significant challenges faced by humanity. Our unique interdisciplinary approach fosters critical thinking and develops lifelong learning skills by synthesizing multiple differences.

Through in-depth counseling and consulting, we guide students to discover and explore their interests outside of the classroom. Extracurricular activities allow students to nurture their talents, gain basic skills for active citizenship, expose themselves to further opportunities, and broaden their horizons. To provide any academic experience a student desires to earn, EHSA takes advantage of lived experiences at various locations: for instance the lake park, sports center, and arts center located within a five-minute walk, and the National Assembly, free dive pool, and the National Museum located within an hour-long drive.

Accreditation

EHSA is accredited by IAO (International Accreditation Organization) as a Diamond Member, indicating that our institution has met the criteria to be considered one of the most prestigious institutions accredited by IAO. IAO is an international quality assurance agency working to improve the standards of education across the world. With its global network of experts, IAO grants accreditation to educational institutions, universities, corporations, professionals, and qualified individuals. EHSA is currently striving to attain further international accreditation through other prestigious agencies.

Dedication to Global Education

Introducing Korean culture to foreign students is part of EHSA's effort to cultivate global citizens worldwide. The main objectives of the Study in Korea Program are to promote Korean culture and teach students, both Korean and foreign, how to appreciate and interact with other cultures.
